Organisation

The Fund is a legal entity that operates in a similar way to a foundation. This is what makes it different from a non-profit organisation. The Fund is governed by the members appointed to its Board of Directors. Pursuant to the articles of association, Fund members serving in the different Colleges have direct or indirect propositional powers. The articles of association and rules of procedure govern the daily running of the Villa.

Different governing authorities such as the Board of Directors and the Colleges operate in parallel within the Fund. The Fund Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the structure.

The members of the structure forge a network of skills and contributions that are brought together via the website. This virtual network exists alongside the various locations where the Colleges operate, such as Villa Tesoriera and its library which offers a meeting place for intellectual and artistic gatherings.

Funding
The endowment and all private income come under state control. Endowment funds have substantial capacity to receive gifts. They can also receive gifts from abroad by means of transnational agreements.
