Reading/Listening rooms
Open to the public
In this library, researchers, students and music lovers alike, particularly classical music lovers, will find a rich collection of published music, opera booklets, musical essays, records and CDs, and an interesting section devoted to manuscripts and iconographic documents.
The sumptuous decor and conditions are ideal for studying musical works.
The library has listening stations linked up to a central server on which many terabytes of music or video recordings are stored.
For composers
The librarians can help composers to find a rational system for classifying their deposited works. Because an individual number or CCN (Composer Catalogue Number) is assigned by the Villa of Composers, each musical score has a reference that corresponds to the Villa of Composers central catalogue (IGOR).
Composer members can book a space for a research or creative residence.
