Dear fellow composer,

We are delighted to welcome you to the Villa of Composers website and we hope that you are aware of its importance for yourself as well as the composer community as a whole in cultural, artistic and heritage terms.

It always gives us great pleasure to welcome new colleagues to our community. Nevertheless, our rules of procedure stipulate conditions for eligibility and these also set the profile of our member composers. It is therefore important that we provide you with a few excerpts:

I would like to thank you for reading this information and would be grateful if you could email us your references and the Internet links enabling us to determine your eligibility. For your information, we need to be able to assess your production in terms of both musical scores and concert activity by means of recordings available on the Internet in three of the following areas: orchestra music (1), opera (2), chamber music 3), vocal (4) and instrumental (5).

On a final note, a once-only admission fee of EUR 100 will be requested to confirm your application to the Villa of Composers.
